Privacy Policy

Summary

  • Calculations run in your browser, and calculator inputs are not sent to a server to be calculated. However, on some tools that put inputs or search conditions in the page address (URL), the address containing those values may be passed to ad and affiliate services or recorded in the hosting access logs. Visit statistics (Google Analytics) receive the address with those values removed, and the search words from support-program search are sent to them separately. Please do not type personal information into that search box (Section 1).
  • There is no sign-up. We collect only the minimum information needed when you choose to subscribe to the support-program digest, comment on or react to an attraction, turn on Loopla reminders, or contact us.
  • Visit statistics (Google Analytics) are processed by Google on our behalf; Google AdSense and Kakao AdFit (ads) and Coupang Partners (affiliate product recommendations) each collect information directly with their own cookies. You can turn off personalized ads as described in Section 2 and block cookies in your browser settings.
  • We do not sell your personal information. Some information is processed on servers outside Korea (Section 3).

1. Information we collect

We do not require sign-up and do not ask for your name or phone number. Information is processed only in the two situations below.

(1) Information you enter or request

  • Weekly support-program digest (optional): We store your email address, the alert conditions you chose (region, industry, field, target group, whether to include training programs), your language, and a hash of your IP address — a value that cannot be turned back into the address — to stop repeated sign-ups in a short time. It is used only to email you matching support-program notices each week and the notices Korean law (정보통신망법) requires: the result of your consent or unsubscribe request, and a check every two years on whether you still consent. Because the digest counts as advertising information under that law, we also record the dates you signed up and confirmed and the version of the consent wording you saw, as proof of consent. The subscription starts only after you click the link in the confirmation email; requests that are never confirmed receive no alerts.
  • Attraction comments: We store your nickname, the comment text, the language you wrote in, and a hash of your IP address to prevent spam. The original IP address is not stored. To let you delete your comment from the browser you posted it in, we keep a deletion key only in that browser; the server stores only an irreversible hash of that key.
  • Attraction reaction buttons (heart, etc.): We store only a hash of your IP address, to stop the same person from reacting repeatedly.
  • Loopla review reminders (optional): If you turn on reminders in our learning app Loopla (/loopla), we store what is needed to send them — the notification address and encryption keys your browser generates, your language, the time of your next review, the number of review cards waiting, and your time zone — plus a hash of your IP address to stop repeated sign-ups. Your study history itself is never sent to our server and stays on your device. Reminders are delivered through your browser's push service (for example, Google for Chrome), and their content (the reminder text and the number of cards waiting) is encrypted before it is sent.
  • Contact form: Your inquiry type, your message and — if you want a reply — your email address (optional) are delivered to the operator's inbox through the email service Resend. We do not store them in a database. A check value used to block rapid repeat submissions stays briefly in server memory and then disappears.
  • Support-program search: The conditions you pick to filter announcements (field, industry, region, eligible applicants, etc.) and your search words are sent to our server to fetch the matching list. The server does not store them after returning the list, but because they are part of the address of the request sent to the server, they may remain in the hosting access logs. The search words are also sent to visit statistics (Google Analytics), both when you type them and when you open a shared link that already contains them, so we can see which searches are common. The conditions you pick are not sent. Please do not type personal information such as your name or contact details into the search box.

(2) Information processed automatically while you use the site

  • Visit statistics: Google Analytics (GA4) uses cookies to collect usage records such as the pages you visit, how you arrived, your device and browser type, and your approximate region; your IP address is also sent to Google. This site removes inputs and search conditions from the page address before sending it. The search words from support-program search, however, are sent separately, so if you type a name or contact details into the search box, or open a link that contains them, those are sent too (see above).
  • Ads and affiliate products: Google AdSense, Kakao AdFit and Coupang Partners use their own cookies and identifiers (see Section 2).
  • Access logs: Our host, Vercel, may process access records such as your IP address, the time of access and the requested URL for security and troubleshooting.

Calculations run in your browser. Values you type into calculators (e.g., voltage, current, monthly salary) are not sent to a server to be calculated and are not stored in a database. Some calculators keep your inputs in this browser's storage so you can pick up where you left off (Section 2).

However, some tools put your inputs or the conditions you pick in the page address (URL) shown in the address bar — for example, the inputs of the Wire Size Calculator and the search words and conditions in support-program search. When a page is opened at an address containing those values, the address is recorded in the hosting access logs. The ad and affiliate services (Google AdSense, Kakao AdFit, Coupang Partners) receive the page address at the time an ad loads, so those values may be passed to them as well. If you send the address to someone, that person will also see those values. Visit statistics (Google Analytics) receive the page address with these values removed. The search words from support-program search, however, are also sent to visit statistics separately. Because search words can reach all of the above, please do not type personal information such as your name or contact details into the search box.

2. Cookies, ads and browser storage

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site or other websites.

As a result of ad serving on this site, third parties may place and read cookies on your browser, or use web beacons (small images or snippets of code used to confirm an ad was shown) or IP addresses to collect information.

Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet. For details, see Google's Privacy Policy.

You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of many third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info.

Cookies and browser storage used on this site:

  • Analytics cookies: Set by Google Analytics for visit statistics.
  • Advertising cookies: Set by Google AdSense and Kakao AdFit for personalized ads and frequency capping.
  • Browser storage (localStorage): Stored in this browser only (other browsers or apps on the same device can't see them): your calculator inputs, theme (light/dark), favorite tools, and the deletion keys for attraction comments you've posted.
  • Loopla study history and reminders: Loopla keeps your study history in browser storage (IndexedDB) and uses the browser's notification feature (a service worker) so reminders can reach you even when the app is closed.

These cookies are set by each service's own script. You can block or delete cookies and browser storage at any time in your browser settings.

3. External services that process information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not hand it over to third parties for marketing purposes. To run the site, however, the external services below process information. Visit statistics (Google Analytics) are work we entrust to Google; for the ad and affiliate services, each company collects information directly through its own scripts or embedded frames on this site's pages (Sections 1 and 2).

Transfers outside Korea

The four vendors below process, or may process, information for us on servers outside Korea. Neon stores information for us (storage); the other three do work we entrust to them (outsourced processing): Resend sends our emails, Vercel hosts and delivers our pages, and Google Analytics compiles our visit statistics. We disclose the transfer details in this policy (Personal Information Protection Act, Articles 26 and 28-8(1)(3)).

  • Neon (Databricks): Servers in the eastern United States (AWS). Support-program subscription details, attraction comments and reactions, and Loopla reminder subscription details are sent over an encrypted connection and stored each time you sign up or post. They are kept for the periods in Section 4. Contact: privacy@databricks.com
  • Resend (Resend, Inc.): Emails are sent from servers in Tokyo, Japan (AWS). The recipient's email address and the email content (confirmations, the weekly digest, consent-related notices, contact messages) are passed on each time an email is sent; retention of sending records follows Resend's policy. Contact: support@resend.com
  • Vercel (Vercel Inc., United States): The servers that build our pages run in Seoul, but because the operator is a US company and the delivery network (CDN) spans the world, the access records created on every visit (IP address, time of access, requested URL) may be processed on servers abroad. Retention follows Vercel's policy. Contact: privacy@vercel.com
  • Google Analytics (Google LLC): Servers in multiple countries operated by Google. Cookie identifiers, IP addresses and usage records (such as the address of the page you visit) are sent while you use a page. The page address has inputs and search conditions removed; the search words from support-program search are sent separately. Retention follows Google's policy. Contact: see Google's Privacy Policy.

If you do not want your information transferred abroad, simply do not use the subscription, comments, reactions, Loopla reminders or contact form — the calculators and other tools work the same without them. You can stop information from going to visit statistics (Google Analytics) by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on in Chrome, Safari, Firefox or Edge; every tool still works if you do. Access logs (IP address, time of access, requested URL) are the minimum records left by visiting any website; they are needed to serve pages and cannot be declined.

Ads (Google AdSense) are different from the four vendors above. We have not entrusted this processing to Google: Google collects cookie identifiers, IP addresses and usage records directly, through the ad script on this site's pages, for its own purposes (advertising) and by its own means, and processes them on servers in multiple countries under its own privacy policy. The page address Google receives when it loads an ad may include inputs and search conditions. Section 2 explains what is collected and how to turn off personalized ads.

4. Retention and destruction

  • Support-program digest: Used to send alerts until you unsubscribe, and deleted immediately when you unsubscribe. As Korean law requires, one email confirming the unsubscription is sent to that address as it is deleted. The confirmation link is valid for 7 days; requests not confirmed within 7 days are deleted automatically within a day after that.
  • Attraction comments and reactions: Pressing a reaction button again cancels it right away. You can delete a comment instantly with its “Delete” button in the browser you posted it from. For comments posted from another device or browser, contact us as described in Section 8; the operator will confirm the request and delete it from the database within 10 days of receiving it.
  • Loopla reminders: Deleted immediately when you turn reminders off. They are also deleted automatically if your browser discards the subscription or deliveries fail repeatedly.
  • Contact messages: Remain as emails in the operator's inbox; contact us as described in Section 8 and we will delete them.

Procedure: when you withdraw yourself (unsubscribing, turning off reminders, deleting your own comment), we destroy it immediately; unconfirmed requests are deleted automatically within a day after their link expires; deletion requests are confirmed and handled within 10 days of receipt. Method: records stored in the database are deleted, and inquiries received by email are deleted from the inbox.

5. Security measures

  • All connections are accepted only over encrypted HTTPS.
  • The only IP addresses this site stores in its database are hash values that cannot be turned back into the original address (for access records processed by our host, see Section 3).
  • Access keys for the database and email service are kept on the server and never sent to browsers or published code.
  • Repeated sign-ups, posts or inquiries from the same source in a short time are blocked automatically.

6. Your rights

You can ask at any time to access, correct or delete your information, or to stop its processing. Send requests using the contact details in Section 8. You can also act right away:

  • Support-program digest: Click the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email to unsubscribe immediately.
  • Loopla reminders: In Loopla, go to Settings → Review reminders and turn off “Get review reminders”, or block notifications for this site in your browser.
  • Attraction comments: Delete a comment you posted with its “Delete” button in the browser you posted it from.
  • Information stored in your browser: Inputs, theme, favorites and Loopla study history can be removed with your browser's “Clear site data” option.
  • Personalized ads: Turn them off using the settings pages listed in Section 2.
  • Visit statistics: Install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on in Chrome, Safari, Firefox or Edge to stop that browser from sending information to Google Analytics.

7. Changes

This policy may change when laws or our services change. Changes are posted on this page with a new effective date. This revision (2026-10-02): we changed the site so that inputs and search conditions are removed from the page address sent to visit statistics (Google Analytics). Accordingly, we updated the previous version's statement that values in the address are passed to visit statistics, and stated that the search words from support-program search are sent to visit statistics separately. Later the same day, we also corrected the part of Section 3 on transfers outside Korea, which had described ads (Google AdSense) as work we entrust to Google; listed IP addresses among the items sent to Google (they had always been sent but were missing from the policy); and replaced the way to stop visit statistics with Google's opt-out browser add-on. Visit statistics are entrusted to Google; ads are collected by Google directly. The statements about affiliate services and access logs have not changed. We have not started collecting any new information. Previous version effective 2026-10-01.
