📐 Custom build

We build ISO documentation systems and Daou Office approval forms to order

ISO documents structured the way audits expect, and groupware approval forms shaped around how your company actually works.

  • ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 documentation — manual, procedures, work instructions and record forms as one coherent set.
  • Custom Daou Office approval forms — approval routes, required fields and acceptance criteria filled in, not empty templates.
  • No off-the-shelf template pack. Each document is reworked around your industry and your processes.

We do not represent you at certification audits and do not guarantee certification. Our scope ends at building the documents and the system.

What this tool does

A quotation is a document a supplier sends before a transaction, proposing prices and terms. Unlike a tax invoice, Korean law prescribes no fixed format or mandatory fields for it, so every company uses a different layout and important items are often missing. The most common failure is omitting whether VAT is included, which leads to disputes after the order is placed. This tool does not force you into a fixed template. It tells you which items cause problems when omitted and lets you arrange them yourself. The wording is pre-written, you can pick from 100 color palettes, and the finished draft can be copied directly or handed to an AI to refine for your situation.

Who uses this

  • You need to send a first quotation to a new client quickly
  • Your company has no standard form and you keep editing someone else's spreadsheet
  • Construction or installation work where quantities may change and needs caveats
  • You have had a payment dispute caused by unclear VAT notation
  • You want a consistent document matching your company logo and colors

How to use

  1. 1Pick wording blocks that fit your trade. Changing the tone (polite, neutral, firm) swaps the candidates.
  2. 2Move items up and down and adjust their width. Set two widths to 6 to place them side by side.
  3. 3Shuffle the palette. Tap a swatch to lock that single color while the rest keeps changing.
  4. 4Copy the document to use directly, or copy the AI prompt to refine the details in ChatGPT or Claude.

VAT calculation

Korean VAT is 10% of the supply value, and the total is the sum of the two. If the supply value is KRW 1,000,000, VAT is KRW 100,000 and the total is KRW 1,100,000. To work backwards from a VAT-inclusive amount, divide the total by 1.1. When issuing a tax invoice, the supply value and the VAT amount must be stated separately (Value-Added Tax Act Article 32(1)3). Splitting them at the quotation stage keeps the numbers consistent when you later issue the invoice.

Examples

Standard goods quotation

List item, spec, quantity, unit price and amount in a table, and split the total into supply value and VAT. State payment timing concretely, such as 'cash within 30 days of delivery'.

Construction or installation

Add a clause stating quantities are settled if site conditions change. If material prices are volatile, also add that re-quotation may occur when prices move.

When validity matters

Keep the validity period short for items with volatile raw material prices. Without one, it is hard to refuse an order placed months later at the old price.

Frequently asked questions

Are any fields legally mandatory on a Korean quotation?

No. A quotation is a pre-transaction proposal and is not qualifying tax evidence, so no mandatory fields are prescribed. That said, without supplier, client, items, amount and date it cannot function as a document.

Is a quotation legally binding?

It does not by itself form a contract, but it evidences the terms you proposed if a dispute arises. That is why stating validity and payment terms matters in practice.

Should VAT be shown separately or included?

Either is fine, but it must be stated. Without notation the recipient usually assumes VAT is included while the sender assumes it is not, creating a 10% gap.

How does a quotation differ from a transaction statement?

A quotation is issued before the deal; a transaction statement records what was actually supplied afterwards. The usual order is quotation, transaction statement, then tax invoice.

Can I move the result into Hangul Word Processor or Word?

Use the copy button and paste it. The table and item structure are preserved.

Is the client information I type stored on your server?

No. Input stays in your browser and is never included in the share link. Only the wording, layout and color combination travel through the link.

Cautions

  • A quotation is not qualifying tax evidence. Expense deduction requires a tax invoice, card slip or cash receipt.
  • Always state whether VAT is included. It is the single most common cause of quotation disputes.
  • Without a validity period it is hard to refuse an order placed later at an old price.
  • The items suggested here are practical recommendations, not legal advice. Have large or complex deals reviewed by a professional.
