Temperature Converter
Convert Celsius, Fahrenheit, and Kelvin instantly with presets and a feel guide.
Conversion
☀️ Warm
- °C
- 25
- °F
- 77
- K
- 298.15
°F = °C × 9/5 + 32, K = °C + 273.15. Korea uses Celsius; the US uses Fahrenheit.
What this tool does
This temperature converter instantly translates Celsius (°C), Fahrenheit (°F), and Kelvin (K). Korea and Europe use Celsius, the US uses Fahrenheit, and science/engineering uses absolute Kelvin. Built on F = C × 9/5 + 32 and K = C + 273.15, it adds body-temperature and boiling presets plus a feel guide (cold / mild / hot). Handy for foreign weather apps, oven recipes, and AC set points.
Who uses this
- Read US weather in Fahrenheit as Korean-style Celsius
- Convert overseas recipe oven temps (e.g. 350°F)
- Check fever thresholds (°F ↔ °C)
- Compute absolute temperature (Kelvin) for science/engineering
- Interpret AC and boiler set temperatures
How to use
- 1Pick the base unit to convert from (°C / °F / K).
- 2Enter a temperature and the other two units convert immediately.
- 3Tap a body/boiling preset to load common temperatures, and use the feel guide for a quick sense of it.
Conversion formulas
Celsius → Fahrenheit: °F = °C × 9/5 + 32 Fahrenheit → Celsius: °C = (°F − 32) × 5/9 Celsius → Kelvin: K = °C + 273.15 Kelvin → Celsius: °C = K − 273.15 Reference points: Water freezes = 0°C = 32°F = 273.15K Water boils = 100°C = 212°F = 373.15K Body temp = 36.5°C ≈ 97.7°F −40°C = −40°F (where Celsius and Fahrenheit meet)
Worked examples
Example 1: 100°F → Celsius
(100 − 32) × 5/9 = 37.8°C. A US forecast of 100°F is a 37.8°C heat wave in Korean terms.
Example 2: Recipe 350°F → Celsius
(350 − 32) × 5/9 ≈ 177°C. Set the oven to roughly 175–180°C for a US recipe's 350°F.
Example 3: What is 25°C in Fahrenheit?
25 × 9/5 + 32 = 77°F. A pleasant spring/autumn 25°C equals 77°F.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a quick way to estimate Fahrenheit to Celsius?+
Roughly, '(°F − 30) ÷ 2'. Example: 70°F → (70−30)/2 = 20°C (actual 21.1°C). It is close enough for everyday weather sense.
Why does Kelvin have no degree (°) symbol?+
Kelvin is an absolute-temperature SI base unit. Because it is an absolute scale starting at 0K (absolute zero), it is written simply as K, without 'degrees'.
Is there a temperature where Celsius equals Fahrenheit?+
Yes — exactly at −40°C = −40°F. Due to the different slopes of the two scales, they match only at this single point.
What is normal body temperature in Fahrenheit?+
Korea uses 36.5°C ≈ 97.7°F; the commonly cited US 98.6°F equals 37°C. A fever is usually 38°C (100.4°F) or above.
Why does my oven differ from the recipe?+
Beyond the unit difference (°F↔°C), ovens vary by ±10–20°C in real temperature. Use the converted value as a baseline and calibrate with an oven thermometer.
Cautions
- •Formulas are exact; displayed digits may be rounded.
- •Real oven/appliance temps can vary ±10–20°C — the conversion is a baseline.
- •For fever/medical decisions, rely on a medical thermometer, not the conversion.
- •Kelvin starts at absolute zero (−273.15°C) — negative Kelvin does not exist.
